Shah Rukh Khan feels his jokes are often misinterpreted

There aren't many actors in Bollywood who can match Shah Rukh Khan's spontaneity when it comes to sense of humour. The charismatic actor, who always speaks his mind, was also a part of several controversies last year. Nonetheless, King Khan feels the media can do away with certain stories in 2013 as they keep repeating themselves.

Currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, the actor has already attracted buzz for avoiding one-time good friend Arjun Rampal at the recent launch of Dabboo Ratnani's 2013 calendar.

"With all my love and respect, I want the journalists to sit down at the beginning of the year and decide which stories to bury for good. The rule should state in bold letters: Promise karo ki aaj ke baad iss story par kaam nahi karoge... The fact is not only us - people from the film industry - but even the readers are fed up of reading the same imaginary rivalries again and again," said Shah Rukh Khan.

He further added that he'll ask Javed Akhtar to pass a bill to this effect in the Parliament. "Most of the stories I come across are not only embarrassing but also lack imagination. Even if film journos are pathetic reporters, they are brilliant fiction writers. So why not continue to remain creative and write original imaginative crap?" asked the witty actor.

Lastly, the superstar turns his attention to press conferences where he feels his jokes are often misinterpreted. "I'd love to attend a press event and not be asked how the four Khans - no, actually five, now that Kareena is also a Khan! - are working hard on messing the good life of one another. And when I reply in jest, unnecessary rows are created. In fact, I've even stopped joking at such places," said SRK.
